Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 4 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Stelian Todericiu. Irinel Grozuță hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute of the match Antal Valentin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Doru Apostu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Costel Neagoe hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paralia Athens's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. 19 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Chirculescu came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doru Apostu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 21st minute of the match. Costel Neagoe kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Leonard Chirculescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Paralia Athens got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucrețiu Miheș ran over to the corner to take the kick. Doru Apostu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 28th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Doru Apostu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Paralia Athens's zone, Balazs Lajos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doru Apostu came out of the goal and Balazs Lajos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Doru Apostu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antal Valentin to strike the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Doru Apostu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. In the 66th minute, Petre Maghiran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paralia Athens's Iulian Doinaș was substituted for Stelian Todericiu. Petre Maghiran hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Doru Apostu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Doru Apostu in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Doru Apostu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 81st minute. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iulian Doinaș charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iulian Doinaș the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Doinaș. The supporters of Hungary booed when Paralia Athens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iulian Doinaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hungary were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
