After having played for 14 minutes, Marcu Cruceru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Milan Tigers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcu Cruceru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bogdan Sârban struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Víktor Lira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Milan Tigers. After 16 played minutes Botafogo got a freekick which was hit by Antônio de Almeida. Botafogo's Víktor Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Sârban in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcu Cruceru in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Víktor Lira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Víktor Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Sârban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Marcu Cruceru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víktor Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-4 became the score in the 29th minute when Marcu Cruceru elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bogdan Sârban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Lira having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Bogdan Sârban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Víktor Lira. Botafogo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bogdan Sârban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Răuţă in the 41st minute of play forced Botafogo's goalkeeper Víktor Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41stth minute of the game Martin Răuţă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botafogo's Víktor Lira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Víktor Lira came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by AC Milan Tigers's Bogdan Sârban. But to his dismay, Bogdan Sârban quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Botafogo's Víktor Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcu Cruceru in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Martin Răuţă notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Botafogo's Víktor Lira. Víktor Lira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 肖远平 was the one to do the kick off. Víktor Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcu Cruceru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Víktor Lira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 82nd minute Horia Bodiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víktor Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Víktor Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Enciu in the 83rd minute of the match. Víktor Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horia Bodiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Marcu Cruceru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Lira having to interfere. Botafogo's Víktor Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Bodiu in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to Botafogo getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Antônio de Almeida hit a great ball. Bogdan Sârbans short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Víktor Lira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. AC Milan Tigers's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
