Codrin Barbăneagră made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lawrence Hopson in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, AC Milan Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcu Cruceru to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcu Cruceru in the 31st minute of play forced Marshrose's goalkeeper Hélio Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Marshrose's Lawrence Hopson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Codrin Barbăneagră. That made the score 0-2 after 52 minutes of play. Hélio Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Sârban in the 56th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Charles Griggs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marshrose's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Milan Tigers the free kick. In the 59th minute, Charles Griggs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Bogdan Sârban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hélio Arósio. Marshrose's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bogdan Sârban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Bogdan Sârban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Hélio Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ion Văcărescu's late challenge caught a Marshrose's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ion Văcărescu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, AC Milan Tigers's Ion Văcărescu got a free kick in the 65th minute. The Marshrose players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
