Michel Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Marcu Cruceru came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the AC Milan Tigers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcu Cruceru couldn't finish the play. Michel Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Răuţă, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. AC Milan Tigers's Codrin Barbăneagră played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sherlock Holmes in the 18th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, AC Milan Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petru Lăceanu to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Codrin Barbăneagră managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Maverick Futebol Clube's Sherlock Holmes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Wit Chuchro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Codrin Barbăneagră made a huge save. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sherlock Holmes to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Valentin Enciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michel Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Sârban in the 56th minute of the match. Sherlock Holmes took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Codrin Barbăneagră. Codrin Barbăneagră dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. AC Milan Tigers's Marcu Cruceru got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Bogdan Sârban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michel Montenegro. Maverick Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bogdan Sârban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Codrin Barbăneagră took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sherlock Holmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Maverick Futebol Clube booed when AC Milan Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ion Văcărescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Codrin Barbăneagră stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sherlock Holmes's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 87thth minute of the game Marcu Cruceru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maverick Futebol Clube's Michel Montenegro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
