The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Ogro F.C.'s Igor Cavalera dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ogro F.C.'s goalkeeper Alysson Rezende, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pran Labitte charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pran Labitte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pran Labitte kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Igor Cavalera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but October 04's Eskil Vester was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Igor Cavalera did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Eskil Vester 14 minutes into the match. Eskil Vester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Van Halen, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. October 04's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Igor Cavalera scored to the left of an out of position Eskil Vester, making the score, 3-0. In the 24th minute Igor Cavalera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eskil Vester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute Ogro F.C. were awarded a corner. Jerônimo Vergílio went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Andrea Heraso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but October 04's Eskil Vester did a great save. Claudinei Custódio made in the 30th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Emilio Cascajares however managed to control. Eskil Vester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Igor Cavalera took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eskil Vester. Eskil Vester dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. A collision led to October 04 getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Claudinei Custódio hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Igor Cavalera took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Eskil Vester to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Cavalera in the 46th minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Eskil Vester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danny Carey charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danny Carey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th match minute, Ogro F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny Carey to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute of the match Thorben Grill shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alysson Rezende showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Igor Cavalera to make the kick off. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind October 04's goalkeeper Eskil Vester, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Cavalera in the 67th minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Eskil Vester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Cascajares's late challenge caught a Ogro F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilio Cascajares helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, October 04's Emilio Cascajares got a free kick in the 68th minute. Ogro F.C. made a substitution. Dan Zimmermann replaced Thomas Lang. October 04's Waldemar de Sena was substituted for Claudinei Custódio. October 04's Luís Paulo Pernambucano was substituted for Aníbal Correia. Ogro F.C.'s Nicko McBrain was substituted for Alex Van Halen. After 69 played minutes October 04 got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Cascajares. Fellipe Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alysson Rezende having to interfere. Eskil Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Vergílio in the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Dan Zimmermann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ogro F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Minnemann in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eskil Vester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute of the match Ogro F.C. got a corner. October 04's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jerônimo Vergílio ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jerônimo Vergílio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eskil Vester quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thorben Grill might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alysson Rezende. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thorben Grill ran back to his position shaking his head. There was no doubt that Ogro F.C. were the better team. Ogro F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
