The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Aníbal Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute Clube Atl. Taquaritinga were awarded a corner. Tarcisio Couto went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Tarcisio Couto to fire away a dangerous shot which Egun Pais despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Sá in the 14th minute of play forced Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egun Pais didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Breno Loyola went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A sloppy throw-in by Severiano Arano in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Floresta Negra FC's Clemente Moura. 21 minutes into the game, Arthur Queraria threw the ball into play from the sideline. Floresta Negra FC's Hector Bazkoare quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Haroldo Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Cole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haroldo Dante made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Andy Cole sent off a good shot on target. After 25 minutes Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jerzy Zjawin who took care of the corner kick. In the 27th minute, Jerzy Zjawin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Floresta Negra FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some careless play in the Floresta Negra FC defense, Breno Loyola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egun Pais. The Floresta Negra FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egun Pais should have stopped the shot. Egun Pais stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breno Loyola's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. The corner ended in Tarcisio Couto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais did a great save. In the 72nd minute, Vito Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Floresta Negra FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Haroldo Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Seco in the 76th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Breno Loyola in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egun Pais prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nilmar de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's David Lima was substituted for Armando Graack. Floresta Negra FC's Alexsandro Mandrak was substituted for Hector Bazkoare. 90 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aníbal Sá. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Haroldo Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Lewandowski in the 91st minute of play. Vivaldo Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vivaldo Amorim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vivaldo Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th match minute, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Arano to maneuver through the defense. When Vito Seco came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Floresta Negra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vito Seco couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
