ReyPoxo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. Andrés Olmos made in the 14th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Nacho Ortiz. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Cornelio Ecija sent off a good shot on target. Italy's Siricio Liotta got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to ReyPoxo getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Nacho Ortiz hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the game, Porziano Marchitelli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Xulio Medina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dorio Sobera got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Nacho Ortiz. After 32 minutes of play, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xulio Medina was left in no man's land by his defense there! Xulio Medina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 35th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, ReyPoxo's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Xulio Medina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to ReyPoxo getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Benvide Harroyo hit a great ball. Sigfrido Auletta struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Xulio Medina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy.

ReyPoxo's Ander Aguado was substituted for Máximo Vadillos. In the 53rd minute, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 57th minute of play forced ReyPoxo's goalkeeper Xulio Medina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Sigfrido Auletta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xulio Medina was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. After 67 minutes, Normando Portillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ReyPoxo and the Italy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th match minute, ReyPoxo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Normando Portillo to maneuver through the defense. When Andrés Olmos fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ReyPoxo's protests and gave Andrés Olmos a yellow card for diving instead. Xulio Medina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 69th minute. Xulio Medina was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Siricio Liotta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 70 minute of play. ReyPoxo's Xulio Medina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save ReyPoxo from getting a goal against them. ReyPoxo's Xulio Medina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siricio Liotta in the 84th minute of play. Xulio Medina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigfrido Auletta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sostene Vitulli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. Adriano Curto scored 0-9 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xulio Medina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Curto got free with Xulio Medina in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Italy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
