In the 9th minute, Zaccheo Andolina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristoforo Tammaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Ström in the 12th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Fedele Panza came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zaccheo Andolina struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Cristoforo Tammaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Panza in the 23rd minute of play. Zaccheo Andolina shot from long distance after 32 played minutes, a shot that Cristoforo Tammaro with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. The throw-in from Enzo Di Placido in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. After a rather tough play, Italy's Zena Busacca got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Cristoforo Tammaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristoforo Tammaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Italy walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
