Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fred Kirkpatrick could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rhys Dimmock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 51st minute. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
