Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Portugal's Viriato Moura started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Gonzalo Lixandro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Qiu Chuan Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 6th minute of the match. A collision led to Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Bernard Perathoner hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 13th minute of play forced Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Qiu Chuan Ran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 17th minute of play. Santiago Macena got a throw-in 20 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Raimundo Ventura. 23 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran. Qiu Chuan Ran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The throw-in from Santiago Macena in the 28th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 29th minute of play forced Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Qiu Chuan Ran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Barreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Felipe Barreto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Qiu Chuan Ran quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonzalo Lixandro was the one to do the kick off. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Barreto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Qiu Chuan Ran skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Rodolfo Faria got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute of the match, Viriato Moura tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Qiu Chuan Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 59th minute of the match. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Santiago Macena, made in the 65th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viriato Moura got free with Qiu Chuan Ran in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. In the 71st minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Daniel Pimentel went to the cornerflag to take it. Portugal's Faustino Almeida was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipinho Amorim got free with Qiu Chuan Ran in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute, Portugal's Felipinho Amorim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Qiu Chuan Ran. Qiu Chuan Ran yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Witold Piszczor was substituted for Israel Carvalhal. If Bartolomeu Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 86th minute of play forced Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Qiu Chuan Ran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Witold Piszczor got a free kick in the 87th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolomeu Dias in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Qiu Chuan Ran saved Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. from getting behind. Qiu Chuan Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 95th minute of the match. Witold Piszczor hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Felipinho Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Qiu Chuan Ran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
