Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 20th match minute, MARINUS MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, MARINUS MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Nalder came free, but Abel Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Thiago Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thiago Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Marcos Pimenta notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Austria's Fabio Auer. Fabio Auer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rd minute Thiago Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Auer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match MARINUS MZC got a corner. Austria's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alex Vianna ran over to the corner to take the kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandro Galishoff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Austria's Fabio Schneider got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabio Schneider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Fabio Schneider got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Munhoz hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Ortiz in the 66th minute of play forced Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Gustavo Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th match minute, MARINUS MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juvenal Batista to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Sandro Galishoff from long distance, 75 minutes into the match, got Abel Senna's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Luiz Gustavo Bueno charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Gustavo Bueno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Austria booed when MARINUS MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Gustavo Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. The MARINUS MZC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
