Gumersindo Moreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 12 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gust Ennemans. Gumersindo Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Wim Wilmes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boomer Fc's Gumersindo Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Poul Stanković came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Poul Stanković. Bebeto Gaúcho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Gumersindo Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 minutes Boomer Fc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that David Eikelkamp got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gumersindo Moreira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Poul Stanković received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnout Reekers came out and tried to block the shot, but Poul Stanković slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 39th minute. Bebeto Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. The attack was good, but when Wim Wilmes in the 53rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Yunus Akgün had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gumersindo Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Gumersindo Moreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Don Domingo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boomer Fc's Martino Vallejo was substituted for Taha Bilgiç. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Boomer Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Domingo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Poul Stanković stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Poul Stanković tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Boomer Fc's Don Domingo got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Gumersindo Moreira made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gumersindo Moreira. That made the score 1-2 after 84 minutes of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinícius Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Vinícius Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Boomer Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Gumersindo Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Martino Vallejo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martino Vallejo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
