An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 11th minute of play forced Brutal DeLuxe's goalkeeper Thomas Runeberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klas Kollberg hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Runeberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kees Mooiweer made in the 19th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Brutal DeLuxe's Nils Lindkvist. 23 minutes into the game, Reine Gudmundsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Brutal DeLuxe booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bas Tuitert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Arne Blixt sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Netherlands's Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move. Reine Gudmundsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After some careless play in the Brutal DeLuxe defense, David Eikelkamp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Runeberg. The Brutal DeLuxe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Runeberg should have stopped the shot. After having played for 40 minutes, Reine Gudmundsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brutal DeLuxe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reine Gudmundsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st match minute, Brutal DeLuxe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Linus Olsmann to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Linus Olsmann hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Brutal DeLuxe's goalkeeper Thomas Runeberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Eikelkamp. Brutal DeLuxe's Thomas Runeberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Brutal DeLuxe from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Brutal DeLuxe booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Mooiweer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reine Gudmundsson in the 72nd minute of play. When Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Björkdahl in the 82nd minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Brutal DeLuxe's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Thomas Runeberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 2-3 became the score in the 93rd minute when Gustaaf Groeneveldt elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Eikelkamp in the 96th minute of play forced Brutal DeLuxe's goalkeeper Thomas Runeberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Brutal DeLuxe fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
