Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luca Buricea took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute, Ilie Enceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo von Känel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Silviu Lung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luca Buricea charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luca Buricea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Ostroveni getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Luca Buricea hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Samuele Kunz put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Silviu Lung. Silviu Lung stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuele Kunz's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luca Buricea. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuele Kunz in the 28th minute of play forced FC Ostroveni's goalkeeper Silviu Lung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Costel Bărbulescu in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Switzerland's Eric Thomi. After 30 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Fridolin Neumeister. Hias Nüssli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Buricea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute Samuele Kunz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Lung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silviu Lung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuele Kunz, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Silviu Lung made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Maurer in the 36th minute of play. Jacinto Maurer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silviu Lung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuele Kunz in the 43rd minute of the match. After 45 played minutes FC Ostroveni got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Enceanu. The FC Ostroveni players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Switzerland were winning 0-1.

Samuele Kunz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Switzerland booed when FC Ostroveni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Șerban Şteţ didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, FC Ostroveni's goal looked a bit too open when Samuele Kunz came free, but Silviu Lung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65thth minute of the game Samuele Kunz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ostroveni's Silviu Lung was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ilie Enceanu hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. FC Ostroveni's Luca Buricea got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Ilie Enceanu came free, but Hias Nüssli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silviu Lung made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuele Kunz in the 96th minute. When the match was over Switzerland could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Ostroveni throughout the match.
