Nea Salamis's Ruud Nistelrooy got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Misael Darroja's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orthros Antonopoulos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Radoslaw Oleszak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruud Nistelrooy in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, La Bestia Negra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the La Bestia Negra defense, Ruud Nistelrooy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radoslaw Oleszak. The La Bestia Negra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radoslaw Oleszak should have stopped the shot. 19 minutes into the game, Misael Darroja cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Orthros Antonopoulos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Orthros Antonopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Misael Darroja, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. La Bestia Negra's Radoslaw Oleszak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pipo Inzaghi in the 33rd minute of play. Radoslaw Oleszak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruud Nistelrooy in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, La Bestia Negra's Misael Darroja sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orthros Antonopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nea Salamis's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Falcão Vasconcelos was slow to take the kick. During this time La Bestia Negra's players had a chance to rest. The corner led La Bestia Negra's Falcão Vasconcelos to fire away a dangerous shot which Orthros Antonopoulos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Radoslaw Oleszak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pipo Inzaghi in the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Nea Salamis's goalkeeper Orthros Antonopoulos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Radoslaw Oleszak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alkibiades Kutras's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, La Bestia Negra's Misael Darroja dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Misael Darroja to strike the kick off in the second half. Misael Darroja hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Radoslaw Oleszak was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Pipo Inzaghi. Orthros Antonopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Misael Darroja in the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Misael Darroja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orthros Antonopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the La Bestia Negra defense, Pipo Inzaghi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radoslaw Oleszak. Diguinho Seco might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Orthros Antonopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diguinho Seco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute Diguinho Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orthros Antonopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orthros Antonopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Seco in the 79th minute of the match. Diguinho Seco took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orthros Antonopoulos. Orthros Antonopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 89th minute Diguinho Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orthros Antonopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pipo Inzaghi might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radoslaw Oleszak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pipo Inzaghi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 95th minute Diguinho Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orthros Antonopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The La Bestia Negra support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
