Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Viriato Moura took the kick off in the first half of the match. Daron Joseph fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Portugal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! Viriato Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Raul Caetano put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Portugal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Zamalek FC:s goal. In the 13th minute, the referee gave Zamalek FC a penalty. Tytus Banaszak looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Wilson Amorim. Caetano Moreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rhys Dimmock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano Moreira ran back to his position shaking his head. Rhys Dimmock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zack Grier made in the 22nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Elin Elin immediately put the ball in play. The audience was convinced that Viriato Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rhys Dimmock was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Tytus Banaszak came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 39th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mugurel Balaeț got free with Wilson Amorim in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tytus Banaszak in the 46th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mugurel Balaeț to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Daniel Pimentel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tytus Banaszak in the 60th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Zack Grier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zamalek FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portugal the free kick. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 63rd minute of play. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tytus Banaszak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Zamalek FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Portugal's Felipe Barreto to fire away a dangerous shot which Rhys Dimmock despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Zamalek FC's Sergey Krasinskiy was substituted for Tytus Banaszak. The throw-in from Zack Grier in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Graciano Coutinho. Bruno Bastos hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elin Elin made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. A collision led to Zamalek FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Elin Elin hit a great ball. Rhys Dimmock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolomeu Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zamalek FC's goalie prevented a goal. Rodolfo Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Caetano Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caetano Moreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the game, Leonardo Lane cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Zamalek FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
