An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 10th minute of play forced Santos da Bahia Fc's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santos da Bahia Fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Santos da Bahia Fc's goalie and right to Takacs Tibor. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Santos da Bahia Fc's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Rodriguinho Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balazs Lajos, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Santos da Bahia Fc getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Dito Paraíba hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Fodor Daniel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ricardo Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 23 played minutes, Hungary's Antal Valentin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodriguinho Varela came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hungary reached it. Ricardo Motta hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 28th minute of play forced Santos da Bahia Fc's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Takacs Tibor to maneuver through the defense. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Varela having to interfere. If Dito Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dito Paraíbas short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Fodor Daniel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fodor Daniel stood somewhat misplaced when Dito Paraíba came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 41 minute. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Cearense came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55thth minute of the game Dito Paraíba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rodriguinho Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 59th minute. After 62 minutes of play, Santos da Bahia Fc's Homer Gol made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fodor Daniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Hungary booed when Santos da Bahia Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santos da Bahia Fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Paraíba in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Santos da Bahia Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Rodriguinho Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Paraíba in the 78th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santos da Bahia Fc's Dito Paraíba got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 84 played minutes Santos da Bahia Fc got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Correia. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Varela having to interfere. Rodriguinho Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 88th minute. In the 95th minute Wesley Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Santos da Bahia Fc players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
