In the 3rd match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolae Ungureanu to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orçun Yalınalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Arósio in the 14th minute of play. Janik Vogt kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Pacho Papachantzoulis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilson Arósio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Tommy Kahn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 26th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gong Jun Feng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gong Jun Feng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gong Jun Feng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orçun Yalınalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iulian Pietreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 49th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Orçun Yalınalp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Gong Jun Feng in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gong Jun Feng. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Sachs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orçun Yalınalp went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.
