The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. German Baumer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Fodor Daniel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hans Hellgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvin Ekblom, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Hans Hellgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balazs Lajos in the 21st minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Takacs Tibor notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SteffosPojkar FF's Hans Hellgren. Hans Hellgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Takacs Tibor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that German Baumer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Hungary's Major Barna got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Erik Lund fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SteffosPojkar FF's protests and gave Erik Lund a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SteffosPojkar FF getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Erik Lund hit a great ball. In the 68th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Hellgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, SteffosPojkar FF's Hans Hellgren got control of the ball when Hegedus Henrik tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 1-1 when German Baumer sped through Hungary's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Hans Hellgren made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling German Baumer in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Napoleon Glozor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Napoleon Glozor in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. Hungary were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
