The supporters of Portugal booed when Vila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kris Erapart didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Portugal's Viriato Moura in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vila's goalie prevented a goal. After 12 played minutes, Vila's Olari Kabral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wilson Amorim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vila reached it. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rauno Koba, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Vila's Rauno Koba in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portugal's goalie prevented a goal. Koit Vaikma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Koit Vaikma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 31st minute of play. After 32nd play minutes Georg Oher shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Wilson Amorim and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vila's goalkeeper Koit Vaikma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36thth minute of the game Felipe Barreto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vila's Koit Vaikma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 40 played minutes Vila got a freekick which was hit by Olari Kabral. Koit Vaikma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 43rd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rauno Koba made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Koit Vaikma in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Koit Vaikma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 56th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Felipe Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Barreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vila made a substitution. Yin Nan Feng replaced Marek Strandberg. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Peep Raamets made in the 66th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Olari Kabral immediately put the ball in play. Caetano Moreiras short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Koit Vaikma to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dido Gorolomov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dido Gorolomov in the 74th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Vila's Peep Raamets got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 84th minute of play forced Vila's goalkeeper Koit Vaikma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Daniel Pimentel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Koit Vaikma was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 88 minutes into the game, Vila's Dido Gorolomov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Koit Vaikma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bartolomeu Dias's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. 94 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Dido Gorolomov came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
