Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernard Kolano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Dirks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roel Ravenbergen in the 17th minute. With an all-out effort, Who Ate All Depay's Tommy Kahn threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roel Ravenbergen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 20 minutes into the match, Alex Volponi notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. After 42 minutes, Chris Mergenthaler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the Who Ate All Depay players grew even worse after the yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernard Kolano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Kolano in the 52nd minute of the match.
