The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sped through ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Modesto Bessoayn. After 5 played minutes ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Eber Basay. In the 9th minute, Bas Tuitert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Eber Basay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Modesto Bessoayn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Eikelkamp in the 14th minute of the match. Lars Meesters blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Modesto Bessoayn having to make a save. After 18 played minutes ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Adelmo Villamayor. 24 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Eber Basay came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eber Basay in the 26th minute of play. Modesto Bessoayn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Meesters went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Wim Wilmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Modesto Bessoayn was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Lars Meesters heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 44th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Modesto Bessoayn. ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 48 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Modesto Bessoayn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s Modesto Bessoayn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 67th minute of play forced ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s goalkeeper Modesto Bessoayn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nacho Skewes fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s protests and gave Nacho Skewes a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 played minutes ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Nacho Skewes. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Bessoayn having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eber Basay in the 73rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Modesto Bessoayn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s Modesto Bessoayn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽ from getting a goal against them. The ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
