Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilla Açıkalın in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Portugal's Viriato Moura ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Batıkan Muhsin. Batıkan Muhsin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. With a little luck, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Batıkan Muhsin got control of the ball when Felipinho Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
