Viriato Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 6th minute Piara Turko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Puskás in the 8th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Almeida. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by São Brás FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Barreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Portugal's Graciano Coutinho getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viriato Moura in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cecilio Polo saved São Brás FC from getting behind. Raul Caetano lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 32nd match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Caetano to maneuver through the defense. Torcato Pacheco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute of the match, Gervásio Palhares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wilson Amorim was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Fabricio Andrade got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute of the match Zachary Zdrojowy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilson Amorim skillfully saved the ball. Piara Turko took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torcato Pacheco in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Piara Turko made the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Felipe Barreto made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. São Brás FC's Cecilio Polo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, São Brás FC's Eulalio Puskás got a free kick in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervásio Palhares in the 63rd minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in São Brás FC's zone, Felipinho Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Polo came out of the goal and Felipinho Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felipinho Amorim in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cecilio Polo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piara Turko in the 78th minute of play. Caetano Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. São Brás FC's Bruno Fernandes was substituted for Fábio Valadares. Portugal's attentive Daniel Pimentel managed to snatch the ball when Benedito Malta made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. Daniel Pimentel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cecilio Polo having to make a save. Felipinho Amorim who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Cecilio Polo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 89 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Bastos. In the 92nd minute, Bartolomeu Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
