The referee showed Albin Holweck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Camille Drame stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Camille Drame tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bror Lundqvist in the 11th minute of play. Camille Drame received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Dalgren scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bror Lundqvist's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Kjell Wahlnäs kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Kronan got a freekick which was hit by Kjell Wahlnäs. Jens-Ove Gallberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Holweck in the 31st minute of play. If Valter Åkerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Bror Lundqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bror Lundqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 43 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bror Lundqvist who took care of the corner kick. In the 47th minute Bror Lundqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Dalgren to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bror Lundqvist in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. When Albin Holweck came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albin Holweck couldn't finish the play. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camille Drame in the 58th minute of the match. Bror Lundqvist made a great header on Kronan's corner, it was just that Germany's Tommy Kahn managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ulrich Stein hit a great ball. Kronan made a substitution. Edgar Vallin replaced David Dalgren. Ulrich Stein kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Vallin went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bror Lundqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Vallin in the 92nd minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Kronan were the better team. Kronan's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
