Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Filip Měchura sent off a good shot on target. Filip Měchuras short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Wilson Amorim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Měchura in the 14th minute of play. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Řitka's Filip Měchura. But to his dismay, Filip Měchura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 19th minute of play forced FK Řitka's goalkeeper Cleto Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Portugal got a corner. FK Řitka's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Felipe Barreto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FK Řitka's Cleto Peyo did a great save. After 22 minutes FK Řitka's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Barreto who took care of the corner kick. Portugal's Felipe Barreto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cleto Peyo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cleto Peyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, FK Řitka's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Cleto Peyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th of the match, Leonard Filipașcu tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Wilson Amorim got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cleto Peyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FK Řitka's Cleto Peyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 35th minute of play. Rubens da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. Eduard Kopecký hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FK Řitka's Eduard Kopecký got a free kick in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 58th minute of play forced FK Řitka's goalkeeper Cleto Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Řitka's goalkeeper Cleto Peyo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66th minute Rubens da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cleto Peyo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 67th minute. Viriato Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cleto Peyo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Margus Paulus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FK Řitka booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball.
