Maverick Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Botafogo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Maverick Futebol Clube's Reynaldo Neves got a free kick in the 4th minute. Antônio de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Paraíba having to interfere. Manoel Lago didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Deivid Goiano went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 17 minutes, Tawfiq Ajram mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maverick Futebol Clube and the Botafogo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Maverick Futebol Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Antônio de Almeida fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 21st minute of the match, 龚松川 got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edinho Paraíba was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Manoel Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Goiano in the 22nd minute of play. 龚松川s short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Edinho Paraíba to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 26 played minutes Maverick Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Abderaouf Bensaoula. In the 28th minute, Wit Chuchro made a precise shot to the right of Manoel Lago. Botafogo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. With a little luck, Maverick Futebol Clube's Edinho Paraíba got control of the ball when 龚松川 tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edinho Paraíba made an important save on a dangerous shot by 龚松川 in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Wit Chuchro notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Botafogo's Manoel Lago. Manoel Lago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 龚松川 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Paraíba having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wit Chuchro in the 45th minute of play forced Botafogo's goalkeeper Manoel Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Adriaanse kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Botafogo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maverick Futebol Clube were winning 2-3.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wit Chuchro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Botafogo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Reynaldo Neves scored to the left of an out of position Manoel Lago, making the score, 2-4. In the 57thth minute of the game Zézinho Marquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maverick Futebol Clube's Edinho Paraíba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Botafogo's goal looked a bit too open when Wit Chuchro came free, but Manoel Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If 龚松川 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edinho Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 龚松川, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. A collision led to Botafogo getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jailson Baptista hit a great ball. In the 70th minute Deivid Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manoel Lago came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Maverick Futebol Clube's Wit Chuchro. But to his dismay, Wit Chuchro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. 龚松川 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Botafogo got a freekick which was hit by Radu Carabulea. 龚松川's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edinho Paraíba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Edinho Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 龚松川 in the 86th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Maverick Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Wit Chuchro. An unexpectedly hard shot by 龚松川 in the 88th minute of play forced Maverick Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Edinho Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edinho Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 龚松川, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Botafogo's 龚松川 got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maverick Futebol Clube's Edinho Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 龚松川 in the 94th minute of play. Manoel Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wit Chuchro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Botafogo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Maverick Futebol Clube's performance. The match ended with a win for Maverick Futebol Clube.
