Cacá Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Neto having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Perttu Bado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edinho Paraíba quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Edinho Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efraim Morais in the 15th minute of the match. Elco Das sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edinho Paraíba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elco Das's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Wit Chuchro kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Gremengo FCCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenílson Donato to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Elco Das left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gremengo FCCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 42nd minute, Elco Das ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edinho Paraíba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After the first half Gremengo FCCMZ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elco Das stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gremengo FCCMZ's Edinho Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Goiano in the 54th minute of play. Elco Das could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Edinho Paraíba made a huge save. Edinho Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elco Das, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The long shot by Perttu Bado in the 61st minute really tested Edinho Paraíba's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elco Das in the 65th minute of play forced Maverick Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Edinho Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gremengo FCCMZ's goalkeeper Edinho Neto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gremengo FCCMZ's Fred Lara was substituted for Elco Das. Gremengo FCCMZ's attentive Batho Canelas managed to snatch the ball when Deivid Goiano made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. Maverick Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Efraim Morais scored to the left of an out of position Edinho Paraíba, making the score, 0-3. In the 83rd minute, Tawfiq Ajram hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maverick Futebol Clube's Edinho Paraíba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Maverick Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Gremengo FCCMZ's Fred Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edinho Paraíba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efraim Morais in the 90th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cleiton Neto got free with Edinho Paraíba in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Fred Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edinho Paraíba was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
