Edinho Paraíba came out of the goal and Lucas-James Joshua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Bernabe Rojas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edinho Paraíba was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Edinho Paraíba made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Robustiano Lico sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Edinho Paraíba managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when 0 descensos's Bernabe Rojas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Maverick Futebol Clube's Tawfiq Ajram got a free kick in the 45th minute. Maverick Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Bernabe Rojas scored to the left of an out of position Edinho Paraíba, making the score, 6-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernabe Rojas to strike the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Adrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Neves in the 50th minute of play. Cacá Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute.
