A sloppy throw-in by Tomas Cordaryal in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Hayalim Kedoshim's Garfield Sau. The audience was convinced that Gabriele Batistuta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cazimir Angelescu was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurențiu Pora in the 37th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Laurențiu Pora made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Puyol got a throw-in 58 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Laurențiu Pora. Cazimir Angelescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. With a little luck, Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor got control of the ball when Laurențiu Pora tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laurențiu Pora in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camilo Salvidor saved Menchu FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Gabriele Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menchu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriele Batistuta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cazimir Angelescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hayalim Kedoshim's Mika Garon was substituted for Garfield Sau. Hayalim Kedoshim made a substitution. Vladimiro Lauro replaced Laurențiu Pora. After 86 played minutes Menchu FC got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Jupân. In the 87th minute, Basarab Jupân hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erhan Alp in the 88th minute of the match. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Menchu FC from getting a goal against them. Gigi Neacșu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Camilo Salvidor came out and tried to block the shot, but Gigi Neacșu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hayalim Kedoshim players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Menchu FC.
