In the 24th minute Maureen Franco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Salvidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maureen Franco came free, but Camilo Salvidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Salvidor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charly Good's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Menchu FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yao Yan Sen was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting Buceo's players had a chance to rest. Gabriele Batistuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximo Horquizar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriele Batistuta ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriele Batistuta got free with Maximo Horquizar in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute of the match Yao Yan Sen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Camilo Salvidor skillfully saved the ball. In the 40th minute, Maureen Franco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Salvidor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maureen Franco in the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sporting Buceo's Segundo Aureo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Camilo Salvidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charly Good, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charly Good made a kick off. Uriel Gorri kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Sporting Buceo's Maureen Franco came free and shot a quick shot against goal 53 minutes in the game, fortunately Camilo Salvidor had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The supporters of Menchu FC booed when Sporting Buceo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Aureo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maureen Franco got free with Camilo Salvidor in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Salvidor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maureen Franco in the 71st minute. Maureen Franco came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target.
