Lu Zhen Sheng made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Menchu FC were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after DREAM TEAM WORLD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Armando Roland took the corner. The corner led to Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Andrzej Zapolski sped through Menchu FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Camilo Salvidor. Gabriele Batistuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lu Zhen Sheng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriele Batistuta ran back to his position shaking his head. Lu Zhen Sheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Andrzej Zapolski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute Andrzej Zapolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Salvidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Abdoulay Doucouré threw the ball into play from the sideline. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Miguel Furtado quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Camilo Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrzej Zapolski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Lu Zhen Sheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 45th minute of play. Armando Nevada kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrzej Zapolski to make the kick off. A throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game was made by Tomas Cordaryal with Gabriele Batistuta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 54 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrzej Zapolski. In the 60th minute, André Luís Lessard reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Camilo Salvidor. The goal made the score 1-2. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Lu Zhen Sheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 67th minute of play. Menchu FC's Mayer Candelo was substituted for Peter Söderqwist. Vaggelis Rousses made in the 73rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which André Luís Lessard however managed to control. Tomas Cordaryal made in the 77th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Roberto Carlo. 78 minutes into the match, DREAM TEAM WORLD's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Pilarski came free, but Lu Zhen Sheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lu Zhen Sheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mayer Candelo in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mayer Candelo in the 82nd minute of play forced DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Lu Zhen Sheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, André Luís Lessard reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Camilo Salvidor. The goal made the score 1-3. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Lessard in the 88th minute of the match. Camilo Salvidor was a little too slow when André Luís Lessard got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 1-4. In the 97th minute, DREAM TEAM WORLD's André Luís Lessard ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Camilo Salvidor. Camilo Salvidor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. The Menchu FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching DREAM TEAM WORLD's performance. The match ended with a win for DREAM TEAM WORLD.
