After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Yves Dervaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgium's supporters rose to their feet, but Yves Dervaux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manolis Ntouvaris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manolis Ntouvaris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Soulis Felegakis's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 37th minute, Yves Dervaux ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manolis Ntouvaris was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Drafi's Manolis Ntouvaris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 40th minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten scored 0-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manolis Ntouvaris, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Drafi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Belgium were winning 0-2.

After a rather tough play, Drafi's Nektarios Bezas got a free kick in the 51st minute. 67 minutes into the match, Drafi's goal looked a bit too open when Sander Dermaut came free, but Manolis Ntouvaris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Lionel-Andrés Messi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 68th minute of the game.
