After a rather tough play, Portugal's Graciano Coutinho got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After taking down the ball on Portugal's corner Felipe Barreto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and 王超亮 quite easily take care of the ball. 王超亮 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Cyryl Gotfryd made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portugal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
