Tunaydin Aga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kraig Fred went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Estudiantes de América were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Turkey's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maximo Dei took the corner. Marcos Ranolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doruk Kashani in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Davut Uyanik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Ranolfo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 18 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Doruk Kashani came free, but Marcos Ranolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Ranolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davut Uyanik in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demirkan Uner in the 73rd minute of play forced Estudiantes de América's goalkeeper Marcos Ranolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Turkey's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto Trasatti came free, but Tunaydin Aga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tosunbey Gulpinar came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Turkey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tosunbey Gulpinar couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the game, Estudiantes de América's Concetto Trasatti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tunaydin Aga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Demirkan Uner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Ranolfo having to interfere. Turkey were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
