With a left leg Maxime Durand saved France from getting behind. After 16 minutes, Leontin Babarada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colorado Avalanche and the France players grew even worse after the yellow card. Colorado Avalanche's Narcis Manea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Peletier in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute Frank Peletier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcis Manea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Leontin Babarada threw the ball into play from the sideline. France's Remy Dupuy quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Narcis Manea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Peletier, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Peletier in the 31st minute of play forced Colorado Avalanche's goalkeeper Narcis Manea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Vit Doro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maxime Durand. That made the score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play. Maxime Durand came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Colorado Avalanche's Bogdan Jurăscu. But to his dismay, Bogdan Jurăscu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogdan Jurăscu got free with Maxime Durand in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 47 minutes of play, Colorado Avalanche's Bogdan Jurăscu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maxime Durand was left in no man's land by his defense there!
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Peletier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Colorado Avalanche getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bogdan Jurăscu hit a great ball. Camille Baume received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Narcis Manea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexis Bruneau to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute Vit Doro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxime Durand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bogdan Jurăscu's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. In the 75th minute, Camille Baume left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The France fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Frank Peletier struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Narcis Manea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for France. With 80 minutes on the clock, Quentin Beaux commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Colorado Avalanche. Vit Doro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maxime Durand. 4-2. In the 83rd minute, Vit Doro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for France! Vit Doro shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Peletier in the 91st minute of play forced Colorado Avalanche's goalkeeper Narcis Manea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Oleg Chepelevskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colorado Avalanche's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oleg Chepelevskiy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Colorado Avalanche's Eduard Tătaru got a free kick in the 95th minute. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vit Doro in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the France players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Colorado Avalanche.
