Elsevär Reitsma started the match with the kick off. Cristóvão de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Elsevär Reitsma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ágætis Byrjun's supporters rose to their feet, but Elsevär Reitsma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ágætis Byrjun getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. A.J. Reitsma hit a great ball. Ágætis Byrjun's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roderick Oosterhof in the 10th minute. After 14 minutes of play, Ágætis Byrjun's Feddo Reitsma made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomás Ceresso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jumentus Rock Club's Tomás Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elsevär Reitsma in the 17th minute of play. Fernando Gerseke took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Ceresso. Tomás Ceresso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 21st minute, Fernando Gerseke made a precise shot to the right of Tomás Ceresso. Jumentus Rock Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 24thth minute of the game Elsevär Reitsma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jumentus Rock Club's Tomás Ceresso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artur Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Maraman Reitsma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 minutes, Elsevär Reitsma made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Jumentus Rock Club's Tomás Ceresso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Elsevär Reitsma might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Ceresso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elsevär Reitsma ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomás Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elsevär Reitsma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elsevär Reitsma scored 0-6 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomás Ceresso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's Elsevär Reitsma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomás Ceresso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Jumentus Rock Club's goal looked a bit too open when Elsevär Reitsma came free, but Tomás Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reinaldo Arce was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Elsevär Reitsma recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tomás Ceresso. Elsevär Reitsma showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Tomás Ceresso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elsevär Reitsma in the 56th minute. Elsevär Reitsma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Ceresso having to interfere. Marc Zomerdijk was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 61 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Jumentus Rock Club. Gerson Queiroz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maraman Reitsma. 1-8. Jur Reitsma kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ágætis Byrjun's Jur Reitsma got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Tomás Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feddo Reitsma in the 78th minute of play. After 83 minutes, Teodoro Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jumentus Rock Club and the Ágætis Byrjun players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fernando Gerseke made a great header on Ágætis Byrjun's corner, it was just that Jumentus Rock Club's Tomás Ceresso managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Gerseke got free with Tomás Ceresso in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomás Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Moorlag, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
