Ali Artuner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Azam Chew in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniz Keng in the 30th minute of play forced De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Jan Zorge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Amaral came free, but Ali Artuner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

With a little luck, Manchester United's Ali Artuner got control of the ball when Anthony Hillen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Henk Hoebe hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 56 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Klement Penkalski. Daniel van Zwieten was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jan Zorge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniz Keng in the 70th minute of the match. Ali Artuner made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Anthony Hillen sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniz Keng in the 73rd minute of play forced De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Jan Zorge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's goal looked a bit too open when Afiq Nair came free, but Jan Zorge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Manchester United booed when De Kasteelheren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. De Kasteelheren had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
