Alessandro Ramires charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alessandro Ramires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Dos Soles F.C.'s Alessandro Ramires got a free kick in the 17th minute. Dos Soles F.C.'s Rafa Nadal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Quintero in the 19th minute of play. Gregorio Cayuso was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Dos Soles F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Valentin Matuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A nice corner shot did that Villarreal Abin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edgar Badia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, PERSPOLIS's Laureano Merino got a free kick in the 40th minute. Juan-Pablo Bevias short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Edgar Badia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentin Matuta made a kick off. The supporters of PERSPOLIS booed when Dos Soles F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Villarreal Abin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dos Soles F.C. were furious when Leonard Hajduk was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Rafa Nadal had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Frutos Barrios's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. PERSPOLIS's Edgar Badia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Pablo Bevia in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, PERSPOLIS's Laureano Merino got a free kick in the 68th minute. Rafa Nadal was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Facundo Feria capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Facundo Feria really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Dos Soles F.C.'s Valentin Matuta got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77thth minute of the game Valentin Matuta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PERSPOLIS's Edgar Badia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Feria in the 81st minute of play forced Dos Soles F.C.'s goalkeeper Rafa Nadal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan-Pablo Bevia in the 83rd minute of play forced PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Edgar Badia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Valentin Matuta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Dos Soles F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Feria came free, but Rafa Nadal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched PERSPOLIS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
