After a rather tough play, Yupandú FC's Delmiro Frutos got a free kick in the 9th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brion Macia got free with Astor Efren in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Astor Efren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brion Macia in the 11th minute. In the 14thth minute of the game Tello Calvo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yupandú FC's Astor Efren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brion Macia hit a great ball. Tello Calvo might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Astor Efren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tello Calvo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tello Calvo in the 64th minute of play forced Yupandú FC's goalkeeper Astor Efren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gwidon Michalskis short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Mosen Bacete to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yupandú FC's goalkeeper Astor Efren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. U.D. Mancini made a substitution. Firman Gomar replaced Tello Calvo. Cayetano Fernado got a throw-in 87 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Nicanor Aragones. An unexpectedly hard shot by Firman Gomar in the 90th minute of play forced Yupandú FC's goalkeeper Astor Efren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 played minutes U.D. Mancini got a freekick which was hit by Gartzea Manrique. Mosen Bacete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Emesto in the 96th minute of play. The referee's whistle sounded for the end of the second half. The match was tied at 1-1. None of the players looked happy at the prospect of extra-time.

After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Everardo Emesto made the kick off and play began. The throw-in from Isaac Illan in the 102nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U.D. Mancini's Urbes Marcilla. Yupandú FC's Astor Efren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brion Macia in the 104th minute of play. 107 minutes into the match, Yupandú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Firman Gomar came free, but Astor Efren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Firman Gomar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 112th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Astor Efren having to make a save. Astor Efren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firman Gomar, who was totally free with the ball in the 112th minute. With the score at 1-1, the referee blew for the end of the half. The players got a few minutes to recover before they had to start the second half of extra-time.

The players looked a little tired but resolute before the second half of the overtime, where Firman Gomar took the kick off. After some careless play in the Yupandú FC defense, Firman Gomar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Astor Efren. The Yupandú FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Astor Efren should have stopped the shot.
