Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) France's Frank Peletier started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remy Dupuy to maneuver through the defense. Remy Dupuy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Polly Magoo Juniors's Omero Zubiaga got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 10thth minute of the game Mauro Otsoa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Maxime Durand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alf Bredberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauro Otsoa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maxime Durand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Camille Baume was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. France's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Polly Magoo Juniors the free kick. The supporters of Polly Magoo Juniors booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camille Baume didn't get a good kick on the ball. Polly Magoo Juniors's Mauro Otsoa got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Peletier in the 28th minute of play forced Polly Magoo Juniors's goalkeeper Markus Fågel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Otsoa had several of the France's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 29 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Maxime Durand as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 34th minute of the game Conny Rudkvist made a throw-in which Robin Fagrell played forward. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jean Bombelles hit a great ball. Mauro Otsoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxime Durand having to interfere. Camille Baume fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Fågel having to interfere. Frank Peletier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Fågel having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Otsoa came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Otsoa got free with Maxime Durand in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th match minute, Polly Magoo Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gösta Bergman to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Otsoa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Otsoa in the 52nd minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Frank Peletier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markus Fågel. Polly Magoo Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Peletier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A throw-in in the 64th minute of the game was made by Robin Fagrell with Gösta Bergman as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 67th match minute, Polly Magoo Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludvig Spetz to maneuver through the defense. Camille Baume struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Markus Fågel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for France. In the 75th match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxence Durand to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Frank Peletier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Otsoa in the 82nd minute of play. Markus Fågel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Peletier in the 83rd minute of the match. When Robin Fagrell fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polly Magoo Juniors's protests and gave Robin Fagrell a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of France booed when Polly Magoo Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Fagrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Markus Fågel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Peletier in the 94th minute.
