In the 7th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donald Fenwick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vinicio Carballeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Memphis Grizzlies's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ronny Theobold in the 9th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Joachim Garate heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of Hungary booed when Memphis Grizzlies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Theobold didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donald Fenwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Takacs Tibor in the 22nd minute of the match. Donald Fenwick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 24th minute of play. Donald Fenwick stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Major Barna's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Major Barna sped through Memphis Grizzlies's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Donald Fenwick. Memphis Grizzlies's Vinicio Carballeira got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Memphis Grizzlies's Joachim Garate got a free kick in the 41st minute. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Carballeira in the 44th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vinicio Carballeira made a kick off. The supporters of Hungary booed when Memphis Grizzlies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Carballeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vinicio Carballeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Szekeres Tamas fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hungary's protests and gave Szekeres Tamas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, Szekeres Tamas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Carballeira in the 61st minute of the match. Memphis Grizzlies's Ty Hislop was substituted for Ian Prutton. After 63 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Szekeres Tamas. 65 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's goalkeeper Donald Fenwick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. After 66 played minutes Memphis Grizzlies got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Crocker. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Banks in the 68th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's goalkeeper Donald Fenwick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. 74 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Donald Fenwick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Romeo Crocker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Memphis Grizzlies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. A collision led to Memphis Grizzlies getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Donald Fenwick made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Balazs Lajos sent off a good shot on target. Takacs Tibor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Donald Fenwick came out and tried to block the shot, but Takacs Tibor slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 88th minute. After 94 played minutes Memphis Grizzlies got a freekick which was hit by Ty Hislop. After 95 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Major Barna.
