Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Téo Savion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 61 minutes, Edoardo Oroni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olympique Fribourg and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edoardo Oroni kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Medero Gadea might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Medero Gadea ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcellus Walpert was slow to take the kick. During this time Olympique Fribourg's players had a chance to rest. Marcellus Walpert made a great header on Olympique Fribourg's corner, it was just that Germany's Tommy Kahn managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Téo Savion managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympique Fribourg's supporters rose to their feet, but Téo Savion was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick Knechtli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play.
