After 8 played minutes Three Towers United got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Deferme. Scotland's Alexander Higgins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Scotland from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herman Dierickx during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Three Towers United's Herman Dierickx got a free kick in the 13th minute. Alexander Higgins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luka Uijtterhoeven's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Ashton Nelson hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Luka Uijtterhoeven struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Alexander Higgins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Three Towers United. If Jaques Wenderix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Scotland defense, Jaques Wenderix kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Higgins. The Scotland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Higgins should have stopped the shot. Alexander Higgins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert De Geutter in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Alexander Higgins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaques Wenderix, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Jaques Wenderix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Alexander Higgins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 minutes, Luka Uijtterhoeven made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side.
