With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Geo-Winner's Maksim Dunaevskiy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 15 minutes in the game, Grigoriy Kudryavtsev fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maksim Dunaevskiy in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maksim Dunaevskiy in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Geo-Winner's Petr Klimovskiy got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maksim Dunaevskiy's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Tommy Kahn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Geo-Winner's Maksim Dunaevskiy got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Geo-Winner's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Gleb Stroganov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gleb Stroganov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 34th minute of play. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petr Klimovskiy in the 37th minute of play. A hard shot 38 in the game by Maksim Dunaevskiy from a close distance when the talented Tommy Kahn managed to make a qualified save. Germany's players were relieved. Maksim Dunaevskiy did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Tommy Kahn 38 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Maksim Dunaevskiy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Gleb Stroganov made a huge save. In the 54th minute, Janik Vogt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladislav Davydov made in the 58th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jorge-Luis Borges. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petr Klimovskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maksim Dunaevskiy in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Maksim Dunaevskiy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Grigoriy Kudryavtsev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A throw-in in the 76th minute of the game was made by Vladislav Davydov with Jorge-Luis Borges as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Maksim Dunaevskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Frank Sachs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 83 played minutes Geo-Winner got a freekick which was hit by Grigoriy Kudryavtsev. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maksim Dunaevskiy's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maksim Dunaevskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
