Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frank Peletier took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Steffen Gimlinge came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Club Universidad Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steffen Gimlinge couldn't finish the play. Steffen Gimlinges short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Maxime Durand to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jean Bombelles kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Quentin Beaux hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in France's zone, Angel Morales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxime Durand came out of the goal and Angel Morales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Jean Bombelles hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Quentin Beaux. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Remy Dupuy hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steffen Gimlinge. Steffen Gimlinge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Maxime Durand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maxime Durand was a little too slow when Eustaquio Mede got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. France's Maxime Durand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save France from getting a goal against them. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steffen Gimlinge in the 29th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Steffen Gimlinge kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maxime Durand. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match Alexis Bruneau shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Club Universidad Nacional's Ziyäddin Cabbarov quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jean Bombelles, made in the 39th minute of the game. 40 minutes into the match, France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steffen Gimlinge. With a little luck, France's Maxime Durand got control of the ball when Steffen Gimlinge tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steffen Gimlinge was the one to do the kick off. Maxime Durand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steffen Gimlinge went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Arnoud de Pelsmakere made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Frank Peletier sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Chapuis got free with Arnoud de Pelsmakere in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steffen Gimlinge in the 65th minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steffen Gimlinge struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Maxime Durand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Universidad Nacional. Robert Chapuis hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Club Universidad Nacional's Feliciano Frans was substituted for Steffen Gimlinge. After 69 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Robert Chapuis. Feliciano Frans scored 4-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maxime Durand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Club Universidad Nacional's Feliciano Frans got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Robert Chapuis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, Isaac Ignazio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Universidad Nacional's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave France the free kick. After 94 played minutes Club Universidad Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Ignazio. The Club Universidad Nacional support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
