In the 23rd minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Malte Schiele hit a great ball. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Pio in the 30th minute of play. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Velasco in the 33rd minute of the match. Fernando Abarca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albin Holweck in the 37th minute of the match. Fernando Abarca came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Germany's Frank Sachs. But to his dismay, Frank Sachs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. Conrado Venceslao made in the 55th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Teodosio Sendoa however managed to control. Fernando Abarca was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frank Sachs showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 61 minute of play. Zeledon Isusko kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Epifanio Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Club Universidad Nacional's Fernando Abarca got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 85th minute of play forced Club Universidad Nacional's goalkeeper Fernando Abarca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Universidad Nacional's Diego Sanson got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, Albin Holweck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Fernando Abarca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Germany's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
