The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Celso Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Corneliu Dridu took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Wilson Amorim to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omid Kaulbach got free with Wilson Amorim in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Celso Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd match minute, Dr Lecter SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corneliu Dridu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Dr Lecter SC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Frédson Lira hit a great ball. Viriato Moura struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Celso Trevisan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portugal. A throw-in in the 70th minute of the game was made by Frédson Lira with Mauro Romero as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Omid Kaulbach hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Dr Lecter SC's Fedele Di Fabrizio was substituted for Corneliu Dridu. Dr Lecter SC's Wanderson Fernandez was substituted for Lauro Antunes. The supporters of Portugal booed when Dr Lecter SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omid Kaulbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fedele Di Fabrizio scored 3-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dr Lecter SC's Oséias de Amaral was substituted for Germano Pena. 92 minutes into the game, Fedele Di Fabrizio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portugal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dr Lecter SC.
