Omiros Ntounos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 30th minute. The corner led to Netherlands's Lars Meesters getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Omiros Ntounos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 37th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanasis Vouzakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Omiros Ntounos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Meesters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omiros Ntounos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thanasis Vouzakis was the one to do the kick off. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Omiros Ntounos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. David Eikelkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Omiros Ntounos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's Omiros Ntounos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ from getting a goal against them. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Omiros Ntounos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanasis Malioufas hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Omiros Ntounos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After some careless play in the ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Omiros Ntounos. After having played for 84 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Dorotheos Frantzeskos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's Omiros Ntounos got control of the ball when Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to sneak it across the goal line.
