After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Stefan Havel got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, Slovakia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Herbert Lång fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Stig-Åke Wall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrich Slany read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Denílson Ronaldinho made a precise shot to the right of Henrich Slany. Slovakia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Herbert Lång succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 13th playminute. After 16 played minutes Gnaget got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Robertson. After some careless play in the Slovakia defense, Herbert Lång kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrich Slany. The Slovakia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrich Slany should have stopped the shot. In the 26th minute Metod Mlynar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zebastian Skoog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Višňovský in the 31st minute of play forced Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliver Holub kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Stig-Åke Wall had several of the Slovakia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Henrich Slany as he didn't even see the shot coming. Zigmund Maliar hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Gnaget's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Martin Višňovský in the 42nd minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Metod Mlynar to make the kick off. Henrich Slany didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Denílson Ronaldinho went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. When Gnaget's Stig-Åke Wall in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Slovakia's goalie prevented a goal. 59 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Lång came free, but Henrich Slany reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zigmund Maliar during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zigmund Maliar to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Wall came free, but Henrich Slany reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Metod Mlynar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slovakia's supporters rose to their feet, but Metod Mlynar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zebastian Skoog breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrew Robertson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 67 minutes into the game, Gnaget's Martin Višňovský nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henrich Slany made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. In the 71st minute Stig-Åke Wall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrich Slany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig-Åke Wall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrich Slany having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Wall came free, but Henrich Slany reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Stig-Åke Wall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrich Slany. During the 81st minute of the match Zigmund Maliar completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Zigmund Maliar a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Henrich Slany showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Lång, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After some careless play in the Slovakia defense, Herbert Lång kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrich Slany. The Slovakia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrich Slany should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gnaget had played much better football throughout.
